Document description: How To: Setup an assay to prompt the user for a parameter which is used in the analysis

If your assay is run routinely with one or more analysis parameters that vary each time the assay is run, you can use the GLP feature to setup the parameters to enter and configure the analysis to reference this run specific data.

For example, in a simple application the software is setup to ask the user to enter a factor to multiply each endpoint measurement by. To set this up:

1. Use the GLP feature to setup a field “Factor” with a short name “factor”. Set the field type to Floating Point.
2. Create a Matrix Expression transform and enter the expression:

    x * @factor

Each time the assay is run the user is asked to enter a factor and each well is then multiplied by that factor.
