Document description: Can I get Remote Assistance from Dazdaq?



If necessary, we are pleased to provide Remote Assistance.  This means a Dazdaq support personnel can connect to your PC and setup the software for you.  However, this requires that you are running Windows XP and are connected to the Internet with the PC you are running our software on.  It is strongly recommended that you first check with your IT department that this does not breach any security constraints of your organisation and that any firewall in operation can permit this (port 3389 should be enabled, see http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb457004.aspx#EEAA for more information on firewall settings). 

 

For Remote Assistance from Dazdaq first contact support@dazdaq.com to arrange a convenient time for this to take place. Shortly prior to the agreed time you must request the Remote Assistance as follows:

 

  1. In Windows XP select Start | Help and Support and select Invite a friend to connect to your computer with Remote Assistance.
  2. Select Invite someone to help you.  Under or use email type support@dazdaq.com
  3. Press Invite this person
  4. Press Continue
  5. Under Type Password enter dazdaq
  6. And under Confirm Password enter dazdaq
  7. Press Send Invitation
