Document description: How to: Customize Excel to launch an Add-in.

Rather than use a short-cut key to launch an Add-In (such as Ctrl+Shift+M for the Manta12x8Import macro) you can customize Excel to include a button to perform this operation. Follow these instruction to add a button to do this:

  1. Right-click on any of the Excel command buttons (such as New) and select Customize. Select Commands and then in the Categories list select Macros.
  2. Drag the Custom Button (the one with a happy face) and drag it to somewhere on the Excel command bar. Press Close to return to the main Excel window.
  3. 3. Now when you press the happy face button for the first time you need to specify the macro to run. The Assign Macro will be displayed and you must enter Manta12x8Import as the Macro name:

On subsequent presses of the button the Manta12x8Import macro will be executed.
