Document description: How To: Blank correct using blanks read on a different plate?

It is possible to setup blank correction using a blank group form a specific plate.

Use a protocol wizard to get started and setup a multiple plate microplate layout, the first plate with a blank group and the others without.  The wizard will warn:

"The selected Microplate Layout consists of multiple plates, however some of the plates contain blank wells and some do not.  Blank correction cannot be setup on this Microplate Layout and hence the blank wells are redundant."

This just means that the blank correction is not setup for you by the wizard.  Now when the wizard is completed, edit the transforms and add a new “Matrix Expression” transform and add the expression:

x-Blank1..1

This means subtract the value of Blank1 from the first plate from each well.
