Document description: How to: Change the number of plates to run in an assay?

Assay protocols contain the default number of plates to run, however you can change the number of plates to run each time the assay protocol is run.  For example, if you create a multiple plate assay (perhaps with 10 plates) but on a particular run of the assay you only want to run 3 plates.  To achieve this you have the following options:

Stopping

Press the Stop button to stop the measurements.  The only problem with this is that the results will show the missing plates as unread (as they are defined in the protocol to be read)

Edit Protocol

Press Edit Protocol prior to the run and edit the microplate layout (i.e. remove the plates)

Scrubber Wizard

Use the Scrubber Wizard prior to run and enter how many unknown samples to read (i.e. just enter a number and press the down key) the number of plates to read will be calculated.
