How can I refer to a group on a particular plate?

Document ID: DQ177

Document description: How To: Refer to a group on a particular plate.

Using the expressions you can refer to a group on a particular plate.

For example,

Pos Control1..1

refers to the "Pos Control1" group on the first plate read.

Similarly the following refers to the first Blank group on the second plate.

Blank1..2

Note, when referring to groups on a specific plate the group numbering starts at 1 – as used in the plate layout setup. After measurements have been made, and in the report, groups are referred using contiguous group numbering: this means that the group numbers uniquely identify a specific sample on a specific plate. For example, if each plate contains a blank group then the first blank group on the second plate would be Blank2 – though when referring to it in an expression you should use Blank1.
