Document description: How To: Flag a point
To exclude points from calculation (such as outliers) you can mark them as flagged. Flagged points are listed in the report and not included in calculations. To flag points:
First, press the flag button so that it appears pushed down:
With this button pushed down, you can mark wells as flagged. Press the left mouse button on a well in the Data tab view or you can flag a well from the standard curve by pressing the left mouse button on a standard data point in the Analysis tab. You can then optionally enter a reason for flagging the well. The flagged point will then appear as flagged. The Recalculate button will flash to let you know that the data needs recalculating. You can select other points to flag. When you are ready to effect the changes, press the Recalculate button. The analysis will be performed excluding the flagged data points. All flagged points are described in the report and excluded from the calculations.
To stop flagging more points press the flag button again so that it does not appear pushed down.
When points are flagged they are not included in the calculation. So for example, if your standards are in triplicate and you flag one standard point, the curve will be fitted to only the two remaining points at that concentration. You can flag all points of a specific concentration.
