Problem with VICTOR and multiple kinetic measurements when reading by wells with a different number of cycles
Document ID: DQ091 Relevant to following products: WorkOut 2.0 Document description: Problem with VICTOR and multiple kinetic measurements when reading by wells with a different number of cycles
With the Wallac 1420 Manager software it is possible to setup the VICTOR to take two or more sets of kinetic measurements reading a different number of cycles in each set, for example, reading 5 cycles and then 10 cycles.
To setup this up in the VICTOR manager, select By Wells, add K and setup a label. Then to reproduce this label, right-click on the K label and select Copy and then Paste. Next modify the Properties of the new item and change the number of cycles as required.
With builds earlier than 291 WorkOut 2.0 does not handle these measurements correctly. Therefore update to build 291 or later if you intend to take these type measurements. Alternatively:
A simple workaround is to use the same number of cycles in both reads (the usefulness of this suggestion of course depends on your application).
A fix for build 289 is available from here, simply download and unzip the new files overwriting the existing files in your WorkOut 2.0 installation directory, typically C:\Program Files\Dazdaq\WorkOut 2.0.
