How do I create an offline assay protocol?

To setup and launch a basic Assay Protocol to import data:

  1. From the Organiser Welcome Screen select Create a new protocol.
  2. The Select New Assay Protocol Wizard screen will be displayed, press OK to start the Generic Wizard. (You can use a different Wizard if required, refer to the relevant section for further details of the other Wizards.)
  3. Press the Next button to step through the Wizard.
  4. On the Data Acquisition Method select Import data to analyse from a text file... and then press Next.
  5. Press the Browse... button and select the file to import and then press OK.
  6. Press the Next button and the Wizard will try to import your data.
  7. The next screen will show the results of the import attempt.  If the Wizard was not successful follow the on screen instructions.
  8. If the data was imported successfully review the imported data and press the Next button to continue.
  9. On the Microplate Layouts step select an existing Microplate Layout or click Create... to specify the layout of your samples (you can change this later if required).
  10. Press Next to continue through the remaining steps of the Wizard.  You can accept the default parameters or modify them as required.
  11. On the final Wizard step press the Finish button to launch the new Assay Protocol open it with the imported data.

To setup analysis after the data has been imported:

  1. If you want to edit the microplate layout press the Edit Microplate Layout button.
  2. Press the Edit Transforms button in the main Run and Results window.
  3. Press the Create... button to create transforms as required.
